The Happening . . .

I think I'm going soft in the head or I am being overtaken by a virus which takes over your mind and converts you into an emotional wreck ....

Don't beleive me?

I present the following:

Exhibit A:

I was in a coffee shop with a friend last week and our order was taken by a new trainee who didn't know her lemon ice tea from her frozen granitas. And after taking her own sweet time and finally understood the order, I did NOT give her a hard time. Yes. I refrained from telling her off and did not make sure that she left her job and did not force her to look for an alternate career at Pizza Hut.

I actually let her SERVE us the beverages. OMFG.

Exhibit B:

Two days later, at another coffee shop, with another set of friends, a barista took our order. And I clearly told him that I want my cappuccino with (please note that I said WITH) an extra shot of espresso and that server (I shan't call him a barista cause clearly he needed a lesson in his lattes and mochas) had the gall to come back and ask if I actually wanted the espresso
in my drink. And instead of giving him a lecture on the use of the word "with" and frivolity of ordering an espresso shot outside of another drink, all I did was just nod my head in answer to his question.

Just. a. head. nod.

That's like treason in WhipperSnapperland. T-R-E-A-S-O-N.

Therefore, I conclude that a virus has taken over me. Yes. As hollywood has proven time and again, a virus like this takes over one person and then spreads to the whole human race. (C'mon, was I the only one forced to sit through the agonizing second season of heroes?)

And then strange things start to happen.

Like having a caffe macchiato with
foamed *gasp* *gasp* milk??

Or allowing a bartender to serve a martini with vodka?

Or not judging someone who wears a bluetooth headset like a hearing aid?

Or not telling parents of rude kids that their children are less trained than my pets??

Oh! the Humanity .....

I can't let this happen. Nay ... I won't let this happen. I'm going to cure myself of such deviant behavior and protect the human race.

Move over global warming. The world's got a new foe.

not a virus. ur database says such lectures/ arguements/ free lessons to the 'baristas' doesn't lead u anywhere. its just a waste of time.

i do the same all the time, but the guilt plug in my head which runs overtimes says i don't have balls to tick them off ! ha !

dark knight: Don't worry ... I'm working day and night in my lab to find a cure and once I'm done, I'l share the secret cure with the whole world.

swats: Now I didn't know that .... Nah .. Life doesn't teach me anything these days .. It gave up on me in the 90's when I refused to learn that making fun of certain people all day long and make them develop an aversion for you.

unsungpsalm: No, he wasn't hot by any standards ... otherwise I would've answered all his questions delightfully. I understand that makes me a hypocrite, but I'm hoping people interpret that as cute.

flygye12: guilt? no, there is absofuckinglutely nothing wrong with telling people that they suck at their job. The only downside is that it may cause them to become suicidal but that is bound to happen someday.

neha: Mama Mia!! I love-a the Italy!! Specially the little roadside cafes ...

and please, oh please tell me if it's a myth or not .. aren't all italian men gay????

*say yes* *say yes*

Also, sorry for being such a fuckhead, but I thought caffe macchiato is served with steamed milk and lattee macchiato is served with foamed milk? Dunno ... I once did enough research to make a coffee table book on er...umm.. coffee. So I take every opportunity to educate the coffee-illiterate baristas in our fair country. Makes me feel all self-important n shit!!!

Though i'm pretty sure that even the worst can brew a better cuppa than me!! :P :P

hehehehehe...well, ok to be fair, not ALL are gay...but lets just say i've met a few :p! And omg they're so damn cuuuuuteeeee!!! What's with all the prettiest guys being gay?? Its so unfair!

Oh..and the coffee...well, here, the main difference is the way its made and is served. Caffe macchiato literally means, "stained coffee"...so it's just expresso with a bit of milk..usually steamed. And Latte Macchiato, is "stained milk"...which is basically a glass of milk with a shot of expresso in it. Not sure about foamed or steamed..

Hehe I actually wrote about Italian coffee once...you can find it on my blog :).

*RambWS
We gays get all the cute guys, is it? Please find me one, I beseech!

Rambunctious WhipperSnapper said...

unsung,

Research has proven that 94.86% of gay guys are more pretty, handsome and better looking than an average straight bloke.

The other 5.14% are fat and lazy like me ......

Anonymous said...

Then I shall sincerely not desire that the task be mountainous. Find me someone from the 94.86%.

Please. :(

Rambunctious WhipperSnapper said...

unsung,

i think u have kissed more gay guys than i know!!

So i think if anyone requires to be fixed up, it's moi .....

Now, you get to work and find someone who likes fat, dumb blokes with a high DQ. All I want is that he should be purty, and speak in the same language as i do ...
