Oh hello genie! Thank for granting my wish there!
I'm not yet quarter of a century old lekin I remember a whole lot from that list of yours... specially ICQ and IRC, sony walkman, dot matrix printers... and how could I forget my first email id? It ended with @usa.net and I've forgotten what the hell that actual website was.
Soo ummm... Happy Birthday? Mayeb't be your birthday actually... but what the hell, we'll wish ya anyway :D
when Madhuri and Sridevi ruled the roost !
I'm not reading the whole of this post just to realise I've spent MORE than a quarter of a century on this planet!
when you saw Whitney Huouston win the grammy for 'Somebody who loves me' live on Doordarshan ! (okay it was recorded and shown at 10 in the night)
okay sorry for barging in third time but i have a valid point to make. i was thinking that i have never come round to reading your original posts, so i started doing that! so who is that guy who was writing those posts? hein? so now that you're a bloggosphere celebrity you want to have a 'private life'??? no pining for lost love, no cribbing about the job. btw you commented somewhere (psalms?) that u quit ur job? again !
its me bak.wots up with others? no one older than u or wot?
add
-if u have read current issues of 'the illustrated weekly' and the week
- if you have seen ur mom read a magazine called dharmyug and would fight with her to read 'dhabbujee' on it.
- if u have seen magazines without a single color photo in it except for the covers
- if u read amar chitra katha, tinkle, indrajal comics along with mandrake and phantom.
-if u have read both the launch and final issues of the children's magazine 'Target'
- if you remember exactly what you were doing when you heard that Diana, Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi died.
-if u lived in times when Rishi Kapoor,Dharmender,Anil Kapoor, Govinda,Chunkey Pandey and JackieShroff were the super stars
- if u lived in times when neelam, kimi katkar and sonam would periodically make waves exposing and all
- if u remember times when DD was the only TV Channel available.
....more to come
Wow you guys are simply incredible. Almost all of these are true, but I couldn't come up with the list!
ddd: hehe .. you're welcome i wish i had a genei's magical powers thou ...:P ... and i still have my first email account..:P .. lol!! well, birthday was about a month ago but thanks anyway .. :P ...
d: technically, i've also spent MORE than a quarter century on this planet ... okay .. i'm going to go get drunk now ...
flygye: you are really good at this .... and i remember reading target .. wow ... and the illustrated weekly!! and i saw diana's funeral in full!!..oh .. and ure welcome to leave as many comments as you want ... i always encourage free speech on this blog ...:P ...
now, what do you mean by "celebrity blogger" ... i ain't a celebrity, not yet anyway. the only thing i ever won was a pie-eating contest. You read my original posts?? wow ... well i'm the same guy .. but don't expect me to keep yearning after the same person for the rest of my life ... i have a right to move on too, you know. :D ... i put my real life on this blog ..everything .. the good, the bad and the ugly ... mostly the ugly ... and most of the posts are somewhat related to me. even these "lists".
kriss: i think flygye is the best at doing this ... i don't remember half the things he's written about!
congratulations...
your objective of making people feel old just got you another victim...x-(....that too when i am still 6 months away from my quarter century on this frikkin planet....
Maybe try doing a cover of 'I'm a genie in a bottle,baby!' :D
Why do you want to be a genie anyway? Generally people want to have their wishes granted, not grant wishes. Imagine how tiresome that would be... always doing things for others :P Go find that sugar-daddy, you!
rebel: i didn't mean to cause any victims ....if you feel old, how do you think i feel??? *grabs nearest bottle of vodka*
ddd: but i'll be a self-serving genie ... i'll just grant my own wishes ... the rest i'll forward to some other noble genie ... though i like being a sugar-daddy myself ... :P ...
if once upon a time you have watched 'Krishi Darshan' waiting for the SUnday movie on Doordarshan !
- if your angst filled teenage days were provided a soundtrack by the music of Linkin Park and Korn
- your first cellphone was as big and heavy as a brick
- if you had a huge collection of Archie, TinTin and Asterix & Obelix Comics
These things still happen to me.
Linkin Park is one of my favorites. I own a Nokia N72 and the complete TinTin and Asterix & Obelix Comics collections.
Cheers! ^_^
